Matter in Extreme Conditions for Magnetized PLAsmas

Topics

The rapid advance in high-power laser technology enables researchers to generate and observe extremely hot and high-density plasmas in the laboratory. This multidisciplinary science is rapidly emerging as a noticeable area of research. The objectives of this international school and workshop is to organize scientific communities in Europe, Japan and U. Rochester (USA) around HEDP and more specifically on magnetized plasmas. It will bring together all the scientists connected to this field in order to define new scientific challenges that will bring Europe and Japan as major actors in this field.

This event is mainly supported by a new International research network (IRN – MHEDP) that gathered four countries: France, Japan, Germany, United Kingdom and university of Rochester, LLNL, USA.

Topics are :

  • Inertial Confinement Fusion
  • MHD
  • B field in astrophysics
  • B field in laser experiments
  • Laboratory Astrophysics
  • UHI Physics
  • Planetary Science
  • Warm Dense Matter
  • Plasma Diagnostics
